About Us

Family Worship Christian Academy is a private Christian institution located in Opelousas, Louisiana. Started in 2005, FWCA offers a rigorous academic program for grades pre-k through 12. Our students are tomorrow's future leaders, and we are determined to help them to be outstanding citizens in a changing world. With an emphasis on academic preparation,  moral development, and spiritual growth, FWCA is a campus that helps students reach their fullest potential.

We offer a stimulating learning environment for our students utilizing A Beka curriculum along with other proven strategies that promote student success.  Our classrooms are equipped with  teachers and tools that help to facilitate learning and growth in students. The mission of Family Worship Christian Academy is to assist each child in reaching his/her fullest potential in every area.  We strive to nurture growth academically, physically, spiritually, and socially through rigorous academic preparation and a variety of opportunities to explore new horizons.


Through Giving, We Receive

FWCA students are involved in a variety of community service projects throughout the school year. One project affords students the opportunity to visit local nursing homes and spend time interacting with the elderly. Both the students and the residents are often impacted by the visits. Currently, FWCA collects basic necessities for nursing home residents and periodically delivers those items to the nursing homes. We believe that our students are learning the importance of giving as well as the need for honoring and helping the elderly in our lives and throughout the community!
